Classic Tower
Built by Eric Lansdown in San Francisco 1989?
This one was over 7 feet tall as I remember.
Its a bird cage perfect for a helicopter bird or might be suitable to display bottles, glasses or statuary of diminutive size.
I love such towering structures and although opening the structure of such towers represented legitimately as stone is difficult at best, I think this is my best result so far.
Gothic, from 12th century on, architects designed and actually built cathedrals (never living to see completion) created unimaginable to this day realities cut from stone that defy the logic of gravity. Credit the craftspeople too who performed these feats of incredible repetitive precision.
But it was hardly just that which they achieved in stone. They formed with line curve and contour independant yet in full respect of nature, a style we call Gothic.
Some of my Gothic designs I refer to Chantilly, others are early or high Goth but to work within these structures I strive to represent what I might have proposed as an architect of the time.
